The Digital Cluster of Catalonia and the Packaging Cluster are organizing an exclusive one-day program on 12 May 2026 within the framework of Interpack, the world's leading trade fair for the packaging sector, which will take place in Düsseldorf from 7 to 13 May 2026.

This conference is designed for Catalan companies linked to or interested in the packaging industry that want to strengthen their international projection, identify technological opportunities and establish strategic connections with the global ecosystem.

📍Meeting point: Packaging Valley Stand (Hall 16, Stand D72). Pavilion dedicated to processing and packaging technologies for pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. - Enter through the East entrance, located in front of the D-Messe public transport stop, Osteingang.

Schedule

10:30 a.m. - Institutional  welcome: Opening by Interpack to present the objectives of the fair and the key points of the edition.

10:45 a.m. Presentation on the state of digitalization in factories in Germany, by Packaging Valley, which will be the starting signal for the first block of the tour.

Block 1 - Smart Factory: Automation, Data and Operational  Intelligence

This block focuses on the digitalisation of the production plant, integrating smart manufacturing and advanced automation.

• Visit 1 – How production  management and data analytics software is integrated  for predictive maintenance.
• Visit 2 - Automation solution for  complete single-dose packaging lines . It will analyse how the integration of various processes in a single machine improves flexibility and productivity in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food and cosmetics

11:15h We move to Hall 14/13/12/11 dedicated to processing and packaging technology for food, beverages, consumer goods and industrial goods

• Visit 3 – How can we guarantee that what reaches the consumer's table is 100% safe in such a complex world? Quality  Control and Food Safety

Block 2 – Connected Value Chain: Digital Integration and  New Business Models

This block explores new business models such as servitization (machine-as-a-service), where machinery companies stay connected to their equipment beyond the production floor to offer differentiating and monetizable services.

• Visit 4 – Analysis of servitization  as a new business model: how this service is monetized and sold.
• Visit 5 – Digital integration  of the value chain: tools to seamlessly connect manufacturers, logistics and end customers.

11:45h We move to Hall 7A dedicated to materials, means and packaging aids

Block 3 – Sustainability: Materials, Efficiency and  Traceability

• Visit 6 – We will learn about the innovations and solutions that are defining the future of packaging in the Startup Zone.
• Visit 7 – Inspiring example of industrial transformation: the move from the production of consumables to the manufacture of our own high-efficiency machinery.
