The Packaging Cluster will be present at the two main trade fairs in the sector this autumn

Judith Marti,

  • The Cluster will have its own stand at Labelexpo Europe 2025 and Empack Madrid 2025

The Packaging Cluster is kicking off a busy year of projects; from 16 to 19 September, it will participate in Labelexpo Europe 2025, the leading event for the label and packaging printing industry, which this year focuses on sustainability. The event will highlight the impact of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) on the sector, which forces converters, brands and designers to rethink materials, processes and compliance strategies.

At the Labelexpo fair, which this year is held at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, the Packaging Cluster will have its own stand, where it will present the latest developments and projects in the sector. In addition, within the framework of the fair, it will offer, together with the Gremi de la Indústria i la Comunicació Gràfica de Catalunya, an exclusive guided tour where attendees will have the opportunity to discover the latest trends and innovations in the sector. Throughout the tour, topics such as the industry of the future, the strategic management of raw materials, the role of specialized associations and suppliers, the real-time efficiency of production processes and the new possibilities of materials and finishes capable of emotionally connecting with the consumer, among other key issues, will be discussed.

A month later, on October 15 and 16, the Packaging Cluster will also be present at Empack Madrid 2025, one of the benchmark events in the sector, which will be held at IFEMA. This year, the cluster will organize 2 guided tours of innovation and sustainability, where visitors will be able to discover the most outstanding and innovative products of the fair in just one hour.

The Cluster's objective is for its stands at these events to be a meeting point for companies, partners and professionals interested in learning more about the trends and opportunities promoted by the organization and, at the same time, sharing knowledge about innovation projects and sustainability in the world of packaging.

Roundtable on Smart Packaging

On October 16 at 10am, the Packaging Cluster will moderate a roundtable in the Empack Room under the title “Smart packaging: when packaging speaks, protects and connects”, with the participation of representatives from Oktics, Faca Packaging, Grup Ferlicom and the FNMT Redysign project. This year’s edition invites professionals and companies to experience first-hand how packaging is evolving to become an intelligent and sustainable channel, capable of creating experiences and generating a direct link between brand and consumer.
