The food industry, through Clusters, begins to face challenges with the new Clusters Challenge platform

On Tuesday, April 30, in the ACCIÓ Auditorium, the official presentation of the Clusters Challenge platform was carried out. Foodservice, Food & Nutrition, INNOVI, Packaging and Catalonia Gourmet, food clusters, have joined to create a digital innovation space that will serve to continue developing the business through co-creation between the different partners and external agents.

The event was opened by Pere Condom, Director of the CATALUNYA EMPRÈN program, who told us about his experience and approached his knowledge regarding innovation through collaboration. Next, Anna Busquets of DIMe Network explained to assistens what the inter-cluster platform is and what are the main objectives. The basic idea of the platform is the promotion of innovation and co-creation to generate projects that respond to trends in the food sector. There will be a space to identify possible ways of financing these projects. 

Encouraging networking among key business people and other agents in the food industry is also very important. As two companies in the sector have shown, there are many challenges to solve that we can overcome if we work through this new digital environment. The Clusters Challenge platform represents a necessary breakthrough in terms of cooperation and innovation, and we already have it here!
