Opening new business opportunities in Shanghai through the Adpack project

On June 17, 18, 19 and 20, the second mission of the ADPACK project was held in Shanghai, China.Four days where we had the opportunity to meet different companies and associations in the Packaging sector. The company SPI prepared a collective and individualized agenda for each of the companies attending the mission.

The first day took place the meeting with all participating companies and apart from being a meeting place we had the opportunity to better understand the Chinese market and the functioning of the country thanks to the presentation made by Richard from the SPI. The same afternoon we went to the  Shanghai Packaging Technology Associationwhere we were received by some 16 members of the association including the President, Fei Junde and the Honorary President Zhuang Yingjie.

The second day we had the opportunity to visit companies in the Packaging sector, the companies that were visited are the following: Jielong Industrial Group, company specialized in manufacturing all types of packaging, GEOTO dedicated to the manufacture of personalized and gift boxes, Yuanxu Packing Machinery Specialists in manufacturing sealing and packaging machinery, Shanghai Zidan Packaging Technology industrial machinery company.

On Wednesday, the PROPACK China fair was visited, where the cluster could meet the PKG Family,a private entity with more than 1400 related members in the packaging environment. At the fair we could see all kinds of packaging machinery and automation systems, the vast majority of companies that exhibited were Chinese.

The last day, the companies could have meetings with other companies individually, in which they could have the first contact and from there they can leave possible business collaborations.

In this mission, 3 companies from the E21 cluster, Fuente Packaging Group and Industrial Segarra participated with another 9 companies plus the collaborating clusters of the project.

These missions have the objective of knowing the different countries chosen, see their economy, the functioning of the companies, understand and learn how they innovate and find possible collaborations between the companies that sell with the companies of the countries visited. The next mission will take place in September, where we will visit Washington and Boston.
