Next Wednesday, October 9, we will once again celebrate the #CAFÈdelpackaging, the days for networking and sharing knowledge between entrepreneurs and managers in the industrial field through face-to-face sessions with special guests.

On this occasion, which will take place from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. at the Hotel Qgat (Sant Cugat del Vallès), we will have the participation of Mr. Oriol Guixà Arderiu, is the President and CEO of the Catalan company La Farga and President of the Board of Trustees of the La Farga Foundation.

Guixà began his professional career as head of the Innovation and Development Department at Motocicletes Montesa, actively participating in the creation of the joint venture with the Japanese company Honda Motor Company, leading the trial team that won the World Championship in 1980. At this time he also worked as a professor of mechanics and machine kinematics and dynamics at the School of Industrial Engineers in Barcelona.

In 1984, Oriol Guixà embarked on a new metallurgical project by joining the industrial company La Farga Lacambra as a shareholder and General Manager. Develops the copper recycling process patent and creates 3 new companies (La Farga Tub, La Farga Rod and La Farga Intec).

In 2015, Oriol Guixà succeeded Vicenç Fisas, father of his wife Anna Fisas Armengol, as president of La Farga, which combined with the position of CEO.

Martina Font, president of the Packaging Cluster, will talk with Oriol Guixà, through a conversation called "How to create synergies between all assets to be a stronger economy", where they will talk about strategy, collaboration between companies, how to turn innovation into business and the present and future perspectives of the Catalan economy.
